Shipping & Returns

In-Stock Items

In-Stock Items are ready-made and available for immediate delivery (not Preorder or Made-to-order).

Most purchases are shipped within 1-2 business days (Monday through Friday) to arrive within five business days of receipt of the order.

Preorder, Special Order, and Out of Stock Items

Items marked as Preorder or Special Order are not stocked and are made-to-order. The standard lead time for Preorders and Special Order items is 8-12 weeks for delivery. 

For a limited time during the holiday season, we expedite our Preorder process to get you your gifts on time. For holiday delivery, Preorders must be placed by 12:00pm PT on December 5th. *We will promptly notify you of any exclusions.

While we do our best to keep our online inventory up to date, it is possible for items to sell out or become unavailable after you have placed your order. Should an item be unavailable for immediate fulfillment, we will inform you via email as soon as possible and provide the estimated arrival time or discuss alternative options. Please note, restock timelines are estimates and subject to change.

Holiday Season Recommended Shipping Schedule for Dec. 24th Delivery

To ensure that your purchase arrives on time, please place your order by 2:00pm PT on the following dates for U.S. Domestic shipping:

UPS Ground: Dec. 17th

UPS 2nd Day Air: Dec. 19th

UPS Next Day Air: Dec. 22nd

*Per UPS, dates are only estimated and not guaranteed. Actual delivery dates may vary depending on destination. Carrier delays in transit may occur.

Due to our annual holiday break, our offices and shipping warehouse will be closed between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. Orders placed after 12:00pm PT on Dec. 23rd, 2025 through Jan. 1st, 2026 will begin to ship on Monday, Jan. 5th in the order received. The deadline for return requests may be extended during this time. Please contact us.

Returns

All return requests must be made via email to info@kumikookoon.com within ten (10) days of receiving merchandise. Please specify order number, quantity, and reasons for return.

Items must be returned in brand new, unused condition in their original packaging and free of any noticeable handling or odors to be eligible for return. Due to the intimate nature of bedding, we cannot accept the return of any pillows or comforters once shipped, in accordance with state and local regulations and industry standards that help protect the safety of all customers.

  • kumi kookoon reserves the right to determine the best course of action for all returns or exchange requests.
  • All return claims received after 10 days but within 30 days of receiving merchandise may be accepted for merchandise credit or exchange only.
  • Unless the item received was the wrong item, defective, or damaged, all returns are subject to a return fee of $10.00 and may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • All returns requested after 30 days and/or without a valid kumi kookoon label will be declined by our receiving department.

Sale & Clearance Items

Sale and Clearance items are considered FINAL SALE and are not eligible for return, exchange, or cancellation.

Exchanges

We are happy to help with exchanges for eligible in-stock items. Please contact us at infor@kumikookoon.com to initiate your exchange and let us know which item you would like instead. We will ship your replacement as soon as your original return is received, inspected, and approved.
